For us fridge access for loading is more important. We don't keep our camper at the house, so we will park on the street if we are doing a quick load or unload and can unload the fridge without extending the slide.
Our driveway is sloped, so if we back in, we have to unhook and level to put the slide out.
Most of the time traveling you can park at a place level enough to put the slide part way out.
