Ford F-150 short bed
Is it possible (or advisable) to tow a small light 5th wheel with a sliding hitch on an F-150 5 1/2 foot bed?

It really depends on the fifth wheel. If you are talking a Scamp fiver or an older low profile fiver from the 80’s. Sure. Use a PullRite or a Sidewinder.
Newer Half Ton towable fivers are really 3/4 Ton towable.
