I have asked for comments on this engine, since I recently bought one , a 2003 dually, not knowing it to be a 6.0.NOW ..... I wish to MODIFY my question as follows .....Have any of you actually OWNED one that DID NOT .... have serious problems with it ? Thanks ... Richard

Little late! Hope you got a really good deal on it. They can be bulletproofed by knowledgeable Ford guys! Finding the right guy is the trick!

I've had issues, spent some money, still the best truck I've ever owned. Pulls like a hoss.

Usually it is after you modify you start having the real issues.

C7XR7 .... are you saying modifications by those who want to make it a SOUPED-UP truck ... or modifications like BULLET-PROOFING ?

Have YOU had on with either ? What were YOUR results / problems ?

I have owned 2 6.0's one was an 04 and an 06. The first one ford spent over 8K in warranty work within 36K miles. Traded it for an 06 and at around 20K miles it started having trouble also. So my experience with the 6.0 was very bad. Btw neither was modified at all so that blows that theory out of the water.
