Ford Trucks

Hi everyone, We currently pull our Jayco Fifth Wheel with a 1993 Silverado Duly one ton 454 and are going to finally update a bit and are looking for a used truck. We came across a nice looking 2015 Ford 250 super duty, 6.7 diesel. It only has about 4,200 miles on it which makes us nervous. I mean, great that there is not many miles on it but wondering why someone would get rid of a fairly new truck. Does anyone here own this truck or know anyone who does? We have only owned Chevy's and GMC's. Thank you for any replies.

Wow! New 2016 for $44,000?! They run much more than that in MI!
May have been a bare bones truck. Will have to check it out further. My husband drove by the Chevy dealership and saw this truck and then called the salesman on the phone. We will check it out further. Thank you for your reply.

I bought my new 2016 F250 XLT for $44,750 in California, It doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it's not a work truck either. I think $41,900 is good price.
  • I wouldn't worry too much about mileage. I just purchased a 2012 Hyundai Geneisis with 19200 miles. An older couple owned it and only went to town and church. Sat in the garage other than that. Looks and smells like new. Run an Oasis and Carfax reports.

Thank you. Price was 41,900. But, you are right - still under warranty!

That cheap...I would wonder if it has a reconstructed title. Run the Oasis.

  • If you go to the ford-trucks.com site, you can probably ask someone to run an Oasis report. If it is at a Ford dealer, ask them. It could be a flood truck though.

If they only used it on some weekends, that number of miles are very possible. It could have only been owned for year as a model year holdover. Carfax or similar will let you know how many people have owned it.
  • Life circumstances could be the reason. One or the other could have gotten sick, or worse. there could be a divorce, or maybe it was more than they could pay for. and its possible they just don't go much. My 2014 Taurus only has 25000 on it. Were it me, and the price was right. I'd jump on it with both feet. It is still under warranty
