Good frames, brakes, suspension, tires, etc. don't sell units to newbies. Rather, it's the flashy paint, interior foo-foo, floor plans and other stuff that grabs the eye. I let my wife look at that eye candy while I'm crawling under the RV and in the service bays in the basement looking at (as the Brits say) the "oily bits". Unfortunately, as Ken says above, one is going to have to pay more for quality.
(OP, I'm not inferring that you're a newbie. I'm just using your unfortunate situation to make a point.)
