frame flex weld failure

I have a Cardinal and there is nothing welded in that area. They believed that the weight of the walls would hold them to the frame so it had a few screws through the frame into the walls. I drilled and installed scrwes about 2" apart on both sides. Everything has been fine for over 2 years now. The walls on the Cardinal sit on top of the frame, so I put the trailer on the truck, raised the jacks and the gap closed before I installed the extra screws.
