frame flex weld failure

That's the way I see it. Unfortunate but better than the frame failing. The pics look like it's a piece of strap steel holding the wall up. Agree that they were asking a lot for mild steel and short welds. Sounds like OP has a good plan to weld both sides.
cant weld both sides without taking side wall off. So I believe.
