Peterson Industries builds all their Excel frames in house.

Northwood industires products make their own frames.
We don't here much anymore about Leppert frame issues. I wouldn't pass up a nice rig just because it has one.

Northwood Manufacturing (Artic Fox, Nash, Desert Fox) build their own I think.
