Fresh Water Filters

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good in-line water filter?
I want one that I can use when filling the fresh water tank from outside sources as well as in full service campgrounds.
The local RV supply has the "Systems IV" tube type filter.....does anyone have experience with this type?
Thanks for your advice.

  • JMHO. I bought a whole house filter housing from Amazon. Approx $15, and 5 micron charcol filters about $5 to $6 each. Installed hose fittings on housing. Works for me. Much cheaper than going to RV filter system. Or you can pay much more $$$$ with RV attached to to the filter brand.
  • I have a whole house filter in the 5'ver but it can slow down the water pressure at some campgrounds and when that happens I just get the one from Wal-Mart it's 5 microns which is not bad at all - my whole house is 1 micron
