Each spring, I pour a little bleach from a cupfull into our 2 water hoses and rest of the cupfull of bleach directly into the fresh water tank fill port. Attach hose and fill up tank. On board filter housing is emptied from anti freeze. NOT until last year or so, I never ran the fresh tank w/ bleach thru the water heater. Now I do. Like AP said, run water thru ALL lines till you smell bleach. In our case, let sit overnight, drain everything (incl water heater), refill tank w/ water and repeat process all over. Let that sit overnight, drain everything again. Now just fill water heater up and that's it. Some could say t's a waste of 120 gallons of water. I look at it as being being on the safe side. FWIW too, all the water either city or on board, goes thru on board water filter. Dog gets that water, we cook with it and no problems.
