Fresh water tank

Can a fresh water tank be replaced with a larger capacity tank? Thanks Tara

More fresh water means more black and gray water.
Good point, didn't even think of that

  • When I got under my rig to fix a FW tank issue, I learned how it was supported. The support brackets had room to slide on the frame. If an exact fit were available, ours could be replaced with a larger tank. But I would guess that it may not be too easy to find one.
  • Ya I don't think it would be easy, and you would have to start crunching numbers on GVWR and pin weight depending on where the larger tank or second tank would be located. That stuff is pretty much decided in the 60% design submittal and then things work around it after that :)
  • I think it would be easier to carry extra water tank in the truck bed. Most RV's do not have the room to be able to take up more space, with a larger water tank. Do you have room to store the waste water?
  • Never say never but it would seem difficult as it is in the original design. It would also get into weight distribution etc. I had an older Jayco TT with the tank under the bed, now that one would be easy to add a bigger tank but it would have a big effect on the tongue weight. Can you carry extra 6 gallon jugs? Cheap and easy.
