Front end swing

Thinking of trading 05 2500 CC with 6.5' box for 3500 CC DRW with 8' box. DW is concerned about the front end swing with the longer truck on tight campground roads when backing in. I'm no physicist and can't answer her question. So that's why I'm posting here for any help and advice.
Thanks Mike.

  • The important thing to remember is to pull closer to the side of the road which your site is on...this allows for more swing room when the truck starts to "chase" the fiver while backing into the site. If you pull close to the opposite side of the road, it leaves little room for the swing of the truck...
  • You will notice a big difference with the turning radius. Some times it takes 20 acres to turn those things around. ( OK very old song) Give Me Twenty Acres and I'll Turn That Thing Around"
