Yes, it is that simple as using a flat tip screwdriver. Been there and done it! - B_O__PlentyExplorer IIPut a large flat blade screwdriver in the key slot and give it a turn. It will open right up and remind you about how secure it really is..
B.O. - DavidPExplorerI would put some silicone or lubricant in the core and see if that frees it up. Slightly push and pull on the key while turning.
Just realized Donn said basically the same thing. - donn0128Explorer IIDrill it out. I just replced two of mine for the exact same issue. They are cheapand easy to replace before youdrill it out, try some lock eze and work the key around a bit. That would eventually get mine to unlock until i got around to replacing them.
- rhagfoExplorer IIIIt could be something in the compartment has fallen on the latch. Try working the key back and forth, also have someone slap the area right above the latch open handed while you try to turn the key, it might just be enough to dislodge the item.
- sdetweilExplorersounds like something might have moved and it resting on the lock..
- Dick_BExplorerIf it works like mine try pushing on the door near the lock and rotate the key back and forth.
