Fuel tank for added onan 5500 in 5th wheel

Question

I had a Onan 5500 generator added to my 2016 Open Range 3X349. I have a 12 gal marine fuel tank in the bed of the pick up with fuel and return lines running to the tank.
Is there a better way to do this so you don't have to take the tank out and putt it on the ground every time you un hook. Thanks

You could get an under body tank from a toyhauler or you could convert the Onan to LP to run off your existing LP tanks. An under trailer tank would provide lots more run time than tapping your LP tanks but cost much more to install. If you use it infrequently, LP is cheaper to install and the carb will never gum up from old gas.
