fulltiming in toy hauler

I am considering selling my Montana 3475 and purchasing a toyhauler.
It would have to be one that my wife nd I can fulltime in. I would only need a 10ft garage and more storage space. What brand would be a good purchase?
  • We have been full time in our Voltage for a little over a year and have been very happy with the space. We carry a Harley and a couple of bicycles in the garage that gets converted to a dinning room when stopped. We use the inside bunk area for storage and it provides plenty of room. The voltage has been mostly dependable except for a few small trim issues that are to be expected in RV's that get moved a lot. I highly recommend the TH for full timing..

    Happy camping
  • We have a Fusion 315 and just returned from 6 months in Florida. I am very happy with our unit. We haul the Harley and a couple of Bikes in the back. Once on a site we convert the garage into our dinette as it comes with roll out carpet and two roll over couches that convert into a bed. There is also another Queen bed above that. At one point our 3 kids visited us for a week. It was tight but very doable. Works best for just the two of us. We had a couple of warranty issues, but Keystone took care of them without any problems.
  • There are several great brands. We like Fusion, Voltage, Vengeance and Cyclone. We are the most familiar with them but know there are other well made and well built haulers. We have a Forest River Vengeance and love it. King size bed up front, large couch, good size bathroom, large kitchen sink, big windows for light. Only thing we wish was more kitchen cabinets. We haul quads and Harleys, so using our garage for storage at this time is not an option. Just start the look and take your time. We even would chat with owners of other 5th wheel toy haulers and ask them the pros and cons of their units. Great insight. Good luck with the looking and researching.
  • We spent 3mos twice in our 2 different Heartland TH's. We had a 36' RoadWarrior 5er and a 36' Torque
bumper pull. The 5th wheel was definitely the nicer. Both have 10' separate garages. We enjoyed because
we had a safe place for the motorcycles and other accessories and it was separate from our living quarters.
You do give up the garage area as living space but for us it was worth it. We were very pleased with the Heartland construction. We now have a permanent lot and leave our toys their. Works for us.
