Furnace help needed!

Has the propane had time to get through the piping?

Yes, been using the same gas all summer. Furnace worked this past spring. Still running on same tank of propane. Its a saburban furnace

Light your stove. That sometimes help get a fridge and furnace lit by getting any air out of the propane lines. And that will tell you there is propane in the lines. I always have to do that after it sits.

It is possible that the gas valve is not opening.
Have a helper turn on furnace while you go to the outside and see if you small propane.
It could be the valve, doubtful, or circuit board.
Loose connection or poor ground on gas valve.
You should be able to remove cover to gain access to furnace components.
Suburban NT models

Has it been raining there with high humidity? If so take a hair dryer and blow hot air on the control board for 10 to 15 minutes. The controller may have gotten too damp. Our furnace would start burning and then shut down three times and the stop all together until the the thermostat was shut off for 10 seconds and then try to start again. Until the control board was dry it would not stay lit. In dry weather it would not act this way.

Ive got it all pulled apart and have been testing things in the manual that enblethen posted. Spark it good, power ay cricut board, power on both sides of limit switch, power at gas valve. Looks like the valve is not opening. Guess ill replace gas valve and see if that does the trick

Before replacing test the gas valve two coils. The resistance should be almost exactly the same.

Well, i took the valve and tapped on it, out everything back together and its working. No sure if it was the valve was stuck or just moving things around jarred whatever was wrong back into its place. We shall see with time if i still have an issue! Thanks again!

And now it quit working......grrr. Its a pain in the butt taking this thing out to work on it!

Make sure to check the sail switch. This is a switch in the air plenum that will prevent the furnace from working if there's insufficient air flow. Seems to be a frequent cause of furnace problems no matter which brand.
