Bought it for our 4000 mile trip after downloading and testing the Rand version for the iPad (which we did not like - poor usability).
Overall, very nice unit. Uses typical Garmin displays and conventions.
Routing when in truck/rv mode can take you via some REALLY strange routes - some of which would have been impossible if I really had the RV in tow. We encountered MANY major highways where it claimed "truck accessibility was unknown", so pretty much usless for keeping us legal in many areas.
The good news it that it does try to reroute for traffic delays, and construction updates were decent.
Camping resouces (campgrounds, etc) are there, but not as easy to find as the Rand model.
So, I like it for its overall usability and ease of operation. It is not to be totally trusted when used in truck/rv mode.
Both companies have a ways to go before there is a good RV unit on the market. I'd give the nod to the Garmin, but don't expect it to be all that superior to the Rand.
