Gas milage for a diesel / gas engine

2006 2500 Dodge Cummins Diesel pulling 13k 5th wheel gets 11-12 mpg all day long. Just moved up from TT, 7k pulled by 2005 F150 getting 6-8 mpg. You can't believe the difference between gas and diesel powered trucks. There really is no comparison, as least in my limited experience.
