If your are doing the national parks you should do some research about size. Many NP's were designed when 25' TT was big.
Front nose design effects mpg more than size. Many newer 5th wheels have aerodynamic noses to help with fuel mileage. 5th wheels are also taller so in a NP you'd have to watch the branches. Some will argue but a 5th wheel should tow better by design than a TT. Anytime you can get the weight up over the rear axle it will pull better.
