Hi,
Consider moving to a large hybrid inverter. That way you may not need a 2nd generator to have reliable starting on the air conditioners.
Please explain how the inverter power would be synchronized with the generator in order to provide a single source of clean power to the RV. Is there a cord or a wire that would connect the 2?
The Honda 2000's =are= inverters. They always produce 120v power, but will speed up or slow down as the load demands. I seriously doubt a single 2000 would power a 13.5k A/C; you'd need the 2 in parallel to do so. The on-board Onans are a straight generator, only producing 120v at their rated speed. They run at that speed all the time, whether you have 1 light on or everything in the rig running. They are much less fuel efficient than the inverter-style generators. I know this doesn't help you with your cord issue, just clarifying some confusing info.
