I've never been able to start my 13,500 AC with my Honda 2000W gen. Even in my driveway at 130' EL. Most our camping spots where we use the gen are in the 4000' and higher. Thinner air will choke the 2000W some. I just use a 30A-15A adapter for all my gen needs. Fortunately living in Oregon we don't get those 90* days all summer so needing the AC is way down on my gen needs. If I needed a gen for AC I think I'd go Honda 3000W and just leave it in the truck bed.
