It would depend on whether you dry camp or not.
I have one. I don't use it a lot but does give us more flexibility as to where we can stay.
We dry camp most of the time while on route to our destinations. Not being on any particular schedule allows us to stop and enjoy an area for a few extra days if we choose to do so. That is when it comes in handy and no big worry about extra banks of batteries. We run with the standard two 6V pattern.
