jmac2009, the issue with running A/C off a generator is the start-up load. You can add a "hard start" capacitor to your A/C to take some of the load off. I forgot that the Yamahas also have a "burst" capability on the electric-start models. They will rob juice from the starter battery for several seconds to allow the A/C compressor to get up to speed and settle into run-mode. AFAIK, they're the only ones doing this. If I'm ever able to afford it, I want a 4-5k inverter and would mount it on a cargo rack on the rear of my FW, in a ventilated enclosure. That would give me enough capacity to run the whole coach at once with no problems.
