Generator
It is necessary to have a generator in a 5th wheel, I know some have them some don't. We are looking to go to a 5th from our class a and we really don't use ours a lot now.

- I purchased a Honda 2000 in 2005 and have used it maybe 5 times since then for very short periods. I really don't need one.
- It all depends on how/where you camp...
- Is it necessary? Not for us.
- I'd say most fifth wheels do not have a genset. Most people carry a small Honda or Yamaha generator with them if they need it. If you plan to boondock without utilities then maybe you want one. Otherwise just about all campgrounds have power and water at a minimum. National parks are the exception. And they have strict generator hours.
