These newer fivers have front caps designed for standard (some call it short) bed trucks, if that is what you have. I have a standard bed 2015 RAM 3500 with the B&W Companion. I chose this one because it fit in to the factory puck system.
I don't think you would need a slider, I don't have a problem getting to almost a 90 degree turn. I'm pulling a Montana 3790RD.
