The same thing that would happen to you. Your truck is not designed to stop the weight of your 5er over the GVWR of your truck, any more than my truck is designed to stop the weight of my TT over the GVWR of the truck. The truck brakes are only designed to stop the GVWR of the TRUCK, NOT the trailer, and not the GCVWR. Sooner you learn that. the better off you will be.
His trailer is within his factory towing weights, is yours? And do you really believe a 8800lb trailer is a lot for a 3500 truck?
