$12K off a $50K trailer is a good amount. You will find the biggest discounts are on the most expensive trailers, especially if they are a leftover model. 2015 trailers won't have the incentive for heavy discounts until next year. Shop the model on the internet to see what others are asking for to get a better feel. BTW, NO ONE pays retail for trailers, so the MSRP can be misleading as you suggested. If you can get pre-approved financing, that's a big bonus when negotiating though there may not be much negotiating when dealing with a liquidator/wholesaler.
