Gladiator Tires

I have just bought a 36-foot 5th wheel that came with E rated Goodyear Marathons. I want to replace the Marathons before using the trailer. It came with G-rated wheels so they can handle up to 110 psi.

Anyone running the Gladiator tire (All Steel) on a 35+ foot 5th wheel? If so, how has it performed for you?

I have already searched the forum and read some postings on the Gladiator, but still can't decide to go with the Gladiator All Steel (G-3750# load rating) for about $156 or the Bridgestone Duravis R250 (E-3086# load rating) for about $215.

I like that the Gladiator has a much higher load rating and lower cost (which is not all that important to me), but the brand doesn't have the reputation that Bridgestone has.

Any advice appreciated.
  • Any reason you're not considering the 3750 lb @ 110 PSIG rated Goodyear G614 RST if you want to go to a G-rated tire?

What are the GAWRs on the trailer? What is the rated load for the Goodyear Marathons? Is the 3042 lb rated Bridgestone sufficient for your GAWR - they are fine for 6K-rated axles, not sufficient for 7K-rated axles.
