If you are young and "spry" you can probably leap in *without* steps!..:C..:C
The stock (original) three work for me......however -
If you are *not* spry due to age or physical condition (semi-handicapped) - anything that helps you get up them steps is xlnt.
(like *quality* 4-step instead of three)
Many of "us" - or our significant others - may have to switch to a MH or TT due to lower entry height/s and no steps to Bed and bath area.
As already noted - a fall is way, WAY more expensive than a new set of entry steps (double duh!) - and can/will ruin your day, month, or RVing future...:S..:S
