Lets say dealer cost is 50k. He marks it up 65% MSRP 82,500.
You show up and want 35% off MSRP 53k.
He made a cool 3k and if he sells a lot of those units at that price he likely won't be in business long.
Here is another hint. These dealers have to pay employees, huge electric bills and float units that have been sitting there for months and months.
I think some people can't math. If you walk in and pay sticker you're a sucker and got screwed but walking out with 20-30% depending on brand a pretty good deal.
