My suggestion would be to email your pics to him and he will tell you the probable cause (assuming pics are good enough).
My guess is a straight up tread separation. Which, by the way, isn't called a "blowout" in the tire world.
FYI, a TPMS WILL NOT usually give a prewarning on such a failure. Why? A tread separation doesn't generate enough heat to show on the TPMS. And pressure generally stays pretty close until the actual failure, of course.
I sure does look like seam that came apart.
