I started posting about Sailon tires some months ago and I was ridiculed by some on this forum. If you want a great tire for your rig I would look at these tires.check them outI have never read about a failure yet and I am sure some on this site are trying to find one. I have them on my rig with many miles on them and they are excellent. Goodyear could build a tire this good if they wanted to-I am sure.I say each to his own but I have read about too many blowouts on Goodyear G's on to many forums. I have no affiliation with Sailon other than a consumer. If you like Goodyear run them-I hope you do not have a blowout.
Agreed I purchased Silun's as well based on positive post and NC Haulers comments on Sailun's accreditation standards.
I read too many post concerning blowouts on the G614. Why pay top dollar for a tire that may still fail.
I realize Goodyear has a track record of paying for damages, but I want to avoid damage in the first place actually paying for the damage is only part of the issue. Down time and dealing with repairs is a hassle I want to avoid regardless of who's paying the bill.
I also don't see it as a buy American thing but more as a buy quality thing. With global markets and off shore accounts and other corporate games consumers really don't know where the dollars and profits are truly going.
Why get excited about buying American made tires when the truck is made in Mexico?
Or why buy an American made item like an Ipad if Apple is going to stash profits overseas!
