....I'm hoping that GY will see they FINALLY have a good "G" rated tire on the market that is going to compete with their G614....they haven't had that to really compete with that, until now....I'm not counting all the no-name "G" rated tires out there that I would only use to make a swing for my grandkids....
If the Sailun tire is getting that kind of mileage, to where age is going to get it before mileage does, I will be on board...IF they keep their prices lower than the G614's.
Will keep checking on the reports of these Sailun tires over the next couple of years and if price is competitive, I very well may end up with them on my 5er.
As Chris mentioned, tread wear can fool you...I've changed tires out with 35-40,000 miles on them and the tread and rest of tire looked great....Age, more than anything should be most pertinent when looking to change a tire out on ones TT or 5er, unless signs of cracking in the rubber or abnormal wear on the tire appear first.
