Goose Box

Does anyone know if the Reese Goose box works with the B&W Turnover Ball. I'm mainly concerned about bed clearance. I'm towing with a 2012 F350 and pulling a 2013 290RL Mountaineer.
  • Mine works fine. has about a foot of clearance from top of balll to bottom of 5th wheel actually. 2006 Chevy 2500HD. Your mileage may vary!
  • We are pleased with it. Have to check the air bag pressure everyday. There is a visual indicator on the side. Some people say the relief valves have a slow leak or it just may be changes due to temperature. There is also a zerk fitting to keep it lubed.

We used it to go to CT last summer, around 1,600 mile round trip and it worked well. Like that I can just flip the ball when I get somewhere and I have my truck bed to use.

Works fine. The only thing I noticed is if the Goose Box is mount high in the pin box mount the little tabs at the back might come near your bedside. With the Goose Box mounted in the bottom holes I didn't have this issue.

That's good to hear. How do you like yours?

Pretty sure the pinbox doesn't care who's ball is in the bed, and that in a pickup, a gooseneck ball is mounted at the same level with respect to bed regardless of brand.

I agree that the gooseneck doesn't care about the ball as long as it's 2 5/16th's. However, there can be quite a lot of variance in the height of the ball in relation to the bed floor.

Some folks use gooseneck plates that fit in fifth wheel rails such as the Pro Series Gooseneck or some under bed systems use a "Tall Ball" like Drop N' Lock brand does.

    Here are a few links.

    Pro Series Gooseneck

    Drop an' Lock

OP, the Goosebox will work just fine with your B&W turnover ball.

    Thanks!
