In my case it lifted the unit exactly 1"' but I was trying to gain 2" worth of lift through this and my suspension adjustment, I wound up with about 2.25" of total lift. You can go with 225/75r16's and those are only 1/2" taller if you don't need the lift, the have the same load rating in E load rating as the 215/85r16's that I went with. Either way make sure you have the clearance before you make the jump.
