GPI Fuel Filter Adapter

Any one install one of these on their TH fuel station?

I noticed that when I pump fuel into a 5 gallon jug there are flakes in the fuel. I currently only use the tank to run the generator and that has a filter. I would like to be able to use the pump to get fuel with out having contaminates in the fuel.

Normally my fuel station is always full but seeing I bought it used I have a feeling the PO's may have left it less than fuel and there is some rusting happening.

Thoughts/suggestions?

  • I am looking at a few options to do the same thing, filter the fuel from the pump. My compartment for the fuel station would not have room for the equipment you pictured but there are smaller filters or I will may go outside the compartment with filter mount and then bring line for hose back inside with plumbing.

It would be simple to add a filter in the suction line but these GPI RV8 pumps can't handle that. The filter needs to be on the pump output (pressure) side.

Too bad the RV builders don't install fuel filtration at the factory. Yes, it would raise the cost of manufacture but what's $50 extra gonna do to a 40 - 60 thousand dollar rig anyway???
