Grand Design Solitude 310GK Questions

Greetings to all,
I currently own a Keyston Fuzion FZ360 toy hauler which we love. We have had it for 7 years and are now thinking we may want to scrap the garage section and have just a nice 5th wheel.

It seems like most 5th wheels have either poor layouts (ones we don't care for) or poor build components/quality.

One that has caught our eye is the Grand Design 310GK. Does anyone on here have any feedback regarding that model?

They also have a 310GK-R. I am not sure what the "R" is for my guess is residential?

TIA
Bryan
  • I believe the R signifies that it has a residential refrigerator. We were close to buying a Grand Design model a few weeks ago, but took a pass because the sofa bed was too short. The color scheme was too dark for our tastes as well.
  • I do not have a Grand Design, but have read nothing but GREAT things on the forum.. Like anything, there is a possibility of getting a lemon, but the poor workmanship is fewer from what I have read..

I was looking at them 3 years ago, decided against for several reasons, but the one big reason was I wanted a rear cap... the GD's do not offer one..
  • Grand Design makes a good unit. We are looking at a Momentum 395 right now.
  • We just took delivery of a 2018 Grand Design Solitude 375RES, and are very happy with the build quality and the excellent attention to fit and finish. Been out with the unit on four occasions since mid September with no problems at all. We really like the mid year upgrades to the Solitude line including no carpet in living and bedroom areas, bath sink bowl instead of a vessel sink, Furrion gas stove and gas oven (separate appliances), dinette extension, and magnetic catch for front door.

And yes, the extra "R" in the model description indicates a residential refrigerator.
