Sadly, Lippert buys out just about everyone that has a great product idea, but they don't appear to focus on quality - reference their issues with axle seals and brakes. There aren't a lot of manufacturers that RV manufacturers can go to other than Lippert for many items.
When I spoke with Bill Fenech, one of his biggest frustrations is when they have issues with products they buy from other companies to build their RV's. Sometimes there will be a run of those products that have one issue or another (KantLeak comes to mind) that they have no control over, and usually they don't find out until long after the finished RV's are at the dealer or with an owner.
I can say that Grand Design does a great job of making it right when that happens.
I guess I misunderstood, we were talking about a DVD player, then someone spoke about components being faulty, with those two terms, I took it as electronic equipment...and again, I'll say that most manufacturers crimp here and "usually" buy low end Audio/Video equipment to put in these 5er's...
......didn't know we were talking about the frame and that type of component...my bad.
