Grand Lake Colorado
Have pulled a fiver all over Colorado. Has anyone pulled from I-70 to Grand Lake on highway 40 and 34? How good or bad is the road? Have a GMC Duramax and 34' fiver. Thinking about Winding River Resor...

Better to go I70 through the tunnel to Silverthorn and up through Kremmling and back to Grand Lake, its an easy pull, but very long.

You want to avoid 9 between Silverthorn and Kremmling for a while longer - construction was supposed to be completed last week but is a long ways from done. Up to 45 minute delays and very rough dirt road thru construction around Green Mountain Reservoir.
40 over Berthoud has some construction on the north side, but very litte delay on Friday morning for our friends, and none by midday on Friday.
Berthoud is steep, but a very good road.
