Grease

I agree Curly, a light coat on the pin is a good idea. I use a Teflon lubricant on mine, as it does not attract dust/dirt. While slidebar hitches do the job, it seems they do not fit as snug as a wrap around, and are more prone to wear. I replaced mine with a dual jaw.
