Great RV Escapes Savings System

Hello all,

Has anyone heard of "Great RV Escapes Savings System". The claim is that you can stay at select rv parks for as little as $15 a night, but you pay an $80 one time membership fee. But wait, if I join now it is only $49.

We are hoping to go full-time mid to late September and money will be tight.

Thank you,
Dave

Not to Hijack this thread, but along those same lines, what do you all think of Pass Port America? I signed up for $50.00 if I recall before I started this trip. So far, those honoring it along my trip either don't do so during the summer months or are very limited. I think I may have been had.....THOUGHTS please.
Every single PA RV park I've stayed at matched the membership rate for me - just for the asking. Kind of a waste of money when you get the same rate without an annual $50.00 fee.

Wonder what the *Escapees* RV Club thinks of the infringement on their name?
    (With such a slight variation)

Escapees would be a good choice - *LOTS* of full timers sharing info,
They do have their own parks & discount system - annual fee is $29.

Of course, *NO* fee to join & participate on their numerous forums.

  • Borderline scam. They do provide a directory. They do provide a 50% off coupon. There are probably parks listed in the directory that have rates as low as $15.00.
What they don't tell you is 99% of the parks in the book do not honor the 50% off coupon. The $15.00 parks are $15.00 regardless if you are a member or not and they don't disclose the fine print how to get that $15.00 rate (i.e. may be what the daily rate comes out to if you stay a month). Don't waste your money
