Well not entirely true, this device is an extension the TV frame, while some of the doubles/triples use that type most use a pintel connected tow dolly, which makes it nearly impossible to back up.
These dollies do NOT hook to a ball hitch. They use the normal center receiver of the truck's hitch to slide in a male tube. Some use chain attachments to the frame and some actually have 2 other receiver tubes attached to the frame rails on the truck. Either way, you have 3 attachment points that are NOT ball "hitches". Also, most of the dollies I've seen could either be configured for a GN or FW attachment.
