Hauler for couple

Question

We are having a tough time finding a hauler to fit our needs. Just my wife and I.
-- No Kids or pets.
-- Have a 2006 F350 Turbo diesel (not worried about weight)
-- Prefer a 5th wheel.
-- Enjoy camping in remote spots, smaller the better.
-- Slide outs would be good for the wife.
-- Do not need a huge garage (only have 1 quad)
-- Willing to pay a premium for quality but not size.
We have looked all over BC and it seems everything is geared to sleeping a lot of people or skimping on features for size. We dont tend to camp at pay campsites and the majority of toy haulers are too large to sneak in the back woods.
If we could locate a toy hauler manufacturer that didnt have tomake 40+ trailers we probably buy it especially if it had a slide and 5th wheel.
Any suggestions?

Unless your f350 is a dually I think you are going to find the loaded pin weight will overload your rear truck axle or at least the tires. When looking for a 5er figure the pin weight will be 20-25% of the weight. And DO NOT use dry weight for any calculations figure on using the max weight. Nobody goes camping at the ''dry'' weight but after a few seasons most of us are surprised to find we are closer to gross.

I am happy with my Crossroads product ,they do have a TH that is smaller than 40'.

I know your not worried about weight but you might look at LivinLite's VRV toyhaulers. They are shorter than the 40' so should be perfect for getting in off the beaten path, they have off road versions that give a little more ground clearance and will stand up to some of the rough roads you travel for those primo camping spots. Last but not least, you can get them customized to your liking if you want extra seating instead of beds or extra cabinets or shelfs or racks.

If the style works for you, they may be right up your alley. Well made trailers.

Might have a look at the Cougar 325SRXWE, under 40 but still probably bigger then what you want.

My wife and I had the same needs so I designed and built this. I've got a few hundred miles on it now with some of those on gravel/washboard roads and it works great. Not for everyone, but if your interested send me a PM and I can give you a few details. My weights on the truck and trailer came out great by the way.
