Well we have the Fifth Wheel dug out of the snow, packed and ready to head South to Corpus Christi. It should take us 5 days (weather Ppermitting). Just wondering how many Ah Ha moments we will have this year. 1. Landing gear gave out & have to dive out from under the front before it hit the ground2. Took wrong turn , ended up at the bottom of a hill ( dead end) and had to back up the hill thru 6' of snow3. Had window blow out on I-10 coming into New Orleans4. Got caught in Pennsacola in 20" of rain overnight, stranded for 3 days before we could get out of the park ( Ft Pickens)5. Had a mega side that refused to retract the day we left Corpus. With the help of friends got it back in where it remained until I got it home ( traded that unit in)The last 6 years heading South have been interesting, wouldn't change it for anything

Wow, you have a good attitude. I' probably be giving up on RVing after what you went through LOL.

Ahhh. 6 inches of snow makes sense. 6 feet gave me a visual of a plow blade hooked to the rear bumper of the fiver.

Our son was there 6 years as a Navy pilot training new jet pilots. He got tired of not having winter, and is not in Rhode Island. Hopefully he is getting winter. Have a great time. I would also like to try a winter down there. We've been going down during spring break, and was very windy.

Would that increase or decrease the pin weight? I need to know because I'm buying a 2015 Colorado and I don't want to overload it. :B

As Lyle said, go down early and fly back for the Holidays. This is what we do, winter in south TX is a joy in comparison to the north. 30-50 degrees warmer on any given day. My wife loves it so much, she does not miss her family up north.

Go down early, fly home for 2 weeks for the Holidays, go back South. :-) Lots and lots of snowbirds here in AZ do that while their grands are little. As they get older, they tell their kids to bring the grands down where it's bloody =warm=! :-)
