Was in Pigeon Forge from Wednesday of last week until Tuesday of this week. Stayed at Pine Mountain. There were several open sites all the time we were there. We normally stay at Rivers Edge.
We did do Thanksgiving a few years ago when our anniversary was on Thanksgiving day. More restaurants seem to be staying open Thanksgiving Day now than then.
Crowds and traffic are just part of the experience. Have been in October. Beautiful, but crowds are terrible.
We left Tuesday morning during a downpour. Rained on us nearly all the way back to Russellville. Cold and used a lot of propane.
