To your original question, you can put bigger / higher capacity tires and axles under the trailer. But, that will not necessarily increase the load carrying capacity of your trailer, which is also a function of frame strength.
I've got to wonder if they got the axles and tires wrong, did they also overstate what the frame can handle? Because if you the consumer changes the axles and tires it can give them cause to deny all warranty claims. Keep working on having the factory make any changes.
