I'm partial to Heartlands, but that OR interior really gets my attention. 41footers, wow, lots of trailer. Glad I don't have to make that decision.

I've never had a Heartland but I am VERY happy with my Open Range. Build quality is excellent. Only problem was a bad propane regulator which was quickly replaced. We have the TT (not a 5er, didn't want the steps) in the signature. Tows beautifully.

I had a Heartland (North Trail) TT traded for Open Road 367BHS. The Hearland was ok but really no comparision; I have been much happier with the OR just seems better made.

We have a 2011 Open Range 5th Wheel (39') and we love it. The build quality is great compared to our previous 5th wheel and TT. We definitely plan to purchase another Open Range when the time arrives to replace our current one. We had one problem under warranty (skirting came loose while traveling--which led to the discovery of another needed repair (roof liner was loose)--and we received excellent service from our dealer. If Jayco and Open Range merge, we hope that Randy Graber/Open Range will continue to provide the great customer service that we experienced.
