Heartland vs. Keystone 5th wheels

I need some 3rd party rating/advise with rver's which own a heartland 5th wheel and/or a Keystone 5th wheel. Please state which one you own and the pro's and cons Please. I am looking to buy a new 5th wheel and trade in my class C. I like both styles. Thank you.

  • Another of those great questions:

    TRUE OR FALSE

    How long is a battleship?
  • We have a Heartland Sundance bought it new in 2008 we love it, never had any problems till we got struck by lighting this summer and it popped a hole in our AC line.
  • Nobody has better service from the factory than Heartland. Easy to contact someone all the way up to the brand manager and beyond if necessary. They have one of the best best owners' clubs and forums there is. The Heartland products just keep getting better every year. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

  • We have a Keystone Montana bought new in 2007. Very few problems, nothing major. Very happy with it.
  • When we were shopping for a fifth wheel, which we traded for the motorhome four years later, we looked at the Heartland and Keystone. We bought a Big Horn 3055RL by Heartland and were very happy with it.
  • Heartland and Keystone are both owned by Thor and are similar in price and quality so it won't make much difference which one you buy. My Everest has been very reliable.
