Why don't you turn off all the breakers inside your rig and try plugging into your gfci again. Then you'll know if the problem is your cord (or adapter) or if it is inside your rig. If it it holds with all your breakers turned off turn them on one at a time to isolate the problem circuit.

I did that. It popped right away unless I am missing some breakers somewhere. I can plug in the chord and the adapter and everything is fine. Just can't attach chord to rig. No inappropriate continuity inside of the chord unless there is an incorrect polarity swap inside of the adapter.
