Very very common complaint.
Extension cords contribute to the problems.
The design of onboard chargers can cause GFI's to trip when first plugged in. Just the design and not a problem.
Do find a non gfi if possible.
Don't get a great thought and think about plugging into a dryer outlet unless you do some research. If the dryer is gas operated then the 110 outlet will be fine. If the dryer is electric only you can fry things if you try adaptors and don't know what is going on.
